Praises and Prayer Requests

Praise:

1.  For the 64 CLTC graduates this year, including 14 women from the wives’ program.  Praise God for these new workers for the harvest.

2.  For the Church and Ministry course that Patrick taught in Lae.  He had a great group of students.  Ten of them were cell group leaders from the same church.  All were eager to share what they learned in their own local churches.

3.  For safety on the roads.  Patrick had many and varied PMV (public motor vehicle) drivers, most of whom chewed beetlenut.  (Look it up!)  One particularly red-toothed driver claimed the beetlenut kept him awake!  They were all fairly good drivers.  The only problem was an attempted robbery at the Lae bus stop, but the Dean from CLTC’s Lae Center jumped out of his bus and chased the would-be thief away.

Prayer Requests:

1.  For our family:  We are planning to move back to CLTC for a month over the Christmas break.  This will be Kristin’s last time at the home where she grew up.  Pray we will have some good family times and that it will be good closure for Kristin.

2. For Kristin:  Kristin will be graduating from high school in June.  Please pray that God will guide her to the college and course of study that are best for her.

3.  For Patrick:   Pray for Patrick’s health.  He was diagnosed with arthritis in his hips in 2009 and they seem to be deteriorating rapidly.  Pray that the hips will at least stabilize until he is able to get medical attention in the States.  (Our next furlough is scheduled for June.)   Pray also that he will have some good study time over December and January as he prepares to teach Bible Interpretation, General Epistles, and Discipleship.

4. For the CLTC graduates.  Pray they will settle quickly back into their home churches or wherever their denomination sends them.  Pray they will live and minister faithfully wherever they go.
